Kupilka 21 Cup and Spoon

Inspired by the traditional Scandinavian Kuksa , The Kupilka 21 is a small vessel made from a Finnish Polywood Resin designed by Puugia, the Centre for Wood Technology in Joensuu, Finland.

The Kareline® natural fibre composite uses wood based cellulose fibres reinforced with foodsafe polypropylene from recycled waste plastics.

Kareline® is a very utilitarian material that has the following characteristics :

Boiling water (+100°C ) as well as -30°C Liquids (Where you would find that In New Zealand I do not know).

Can be hand or machine washed.

Does not absorb smells or tastes: you can drink tea, coffee, water, and booze from it!

Dyed with colors that are approved for food contact. There is no coating that would wear off during use.
You can do anything with this except burn it or put it in the microwave. Teaspoon included.

Kupilka is made in Finland and started in the early 2000’s – Back when Eco-Friendly materials were not as common as they are now , this just goes to show how forward thinking Kupilka was at the time.
